This one day course acts as a top-up to the 3 day dry installation course and provides comprehensive training in the installation of solid fuel appliances with boilers. Focus will be on the particular requirements of wet heating systems; how to choose the most suitable appliance; commissioning and the correct diagnosis of a fault.
Who Should Attend
Installation engineers already working within the industry who wish to progress to registration on the HETAS Competent Persons’ Scheme.
This course is a mandatory requirement for the relevant HETAS Competent Persons' Scheme from June 2014 and must be completed at least once every 5 years.
Pre-Requisites
Hetas installer of dry appliances H003
And one or more of the following:
- OFTEC 101 or 102
- City and Guilds 6129 and 6089, or QCF 6189
- Proven experience of working with wet heating systems
NB Those who do not have the required prerequisites may still attend the course but can only be issued a Certificate of Attendance upon completion.
