This course will train you how to install solid fuel appliances and how to integrate them with boilers. It will also give you a thorough understanding of how to select a suitable appliance for your installation, commissioning, servicing, flues, fuels, diagnosis of a fault and hearth regulations. During the course you will learn about the relevant UK building regulations and European standards.
Theoretical components of the course will be concluded with group discussion on the topic and hands-on practice using the facilities within our laboratory. On completion of the course you will have an understanding of suitable appliances and terminals to use as well as increased confidence when installing dry and wet appliances.
You will be assessed at the end of the course and receive a certificate which can be used towards gaining recognition on HETAS’s Approved Retailer scheme. Further information can be obtained from HETAS direct.

Installation engineers already working within the industry who wish to progress to registration on the HETAS Competent Persons’ Scheme.
