This course will introduce you to the processes used during the installation of solid fuel appliances. It is an awareness course dealing purely with the theoretical knowledge and updates you will need to know when advising on the installation of a solid fuel appliance and is particularly relevant to those who work in showrooms, surveyors, building control officers and architects.

At the end of this course you will have an understanding of:

  • The need for correct flueing
  • How to match appliances to a particular installation
  • Different fuel types, their usage and how to store them correctly
  • The appliances that use solid fuel and how to use them for maximum effect

On completion of the course you will be assessed and receive a certificate which can be used towards gaining recognition on HETAS’s Approved Retailer scheme. Further information can be obtained from HETAS direct.


Who Should Attend

Those in an advisory role such as showroom staff, surveyors, specifiers, building control officers and architects.


Pre-Requisites

No prior knowledge, experience or qualifications are required to attend this course


A Certificate of Attendance will be issued on successful completion of the course.
